HOUSTON – An individual was killed and two have been critically injured throughout an unlawful automotive meetup in northwest Houston Sunday, Harris County sheriff’s deputies stated.
Crews responded to the accident within the 14900 block of Northwest Freeway close to West Little York Highway round 9:29 p.m.
Deputies stated Andrew Mock was driving a yellow 2018 Chevrolet Camaro at a excessive charge of pace, touring westbound on the service highway, at 14900 Northwest Freeway. Mock struck the left rear of a black 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with the fitting entrance of his Camaro, deputies stated.
Deputies stated the collision prompted the Malibu to journey off of the roadway and onto a sidewalk, which was occupied by pedestrians. The Malibu struck a number of pedestrians on the sidewalk, deputies stated. Investigators stated a male pedestrian suffered deadly accidents from the collision. Deputies stated two unidentified juvenile male pedestrians suffered critical bodily accidents from the collision and have been transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital Downtown by Life Flight.
Investigators stated Mock was charged with one rely of manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault-reckless driving with critical bodily damage, which is topic to be upgraded if the 2 unidentified juveniles succumb to their accidents.
